13th Miss Tourism Queen of The Year 2006

Going past the glitter and glamour is what the 13th Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International pageant is all about.

Initiated in 1993 as the Queen of the Year International, the pageant underwent a change in name in 2004 to Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International, taking beauty pageantry to new heights by transcending multinational and multicultural barriers.

After the pageant was held in China for the past two years, franchise title-holder Danny Ooi brought it back to Malaysia to mark a momentous occasion.

The 13th Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International pageant will serve as a flag-raiser to the Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2007 campaign, which coincides with the country's 50th Merdeka, or Independence, celebrations.
